Maps of potential
routes for Fargo-St. Cloud 345-kV transmission line
project
The Fargo-St. Cloud Route Permit application was filed
on October 1, 2009.
The Minnesota Office of Energy Security
(OES) held 12 public meetings in January 2010 to gather
public input on the Fargo-St. Cloud proposed project
and routes. At these meetings, the public had the opportunity
to propose route alternatives for consideration in the
project’s Environmental Impact Statement (EIS).
Comments were also accepted outside of the public meetings
through letters and emails. An advisory task force comprised
of local government officials also held three meetings.
The group recommended alternative routes that have been
included in the scope of the EIS. The additional route
options detailed in the below maps reflect those added
by the OES based on public comments received at these
meetings and from the advisory task force.
